The Farm District marks the second chapter of Stewart Village, introducing a distinct sense of place to the community. Set within former agricultural lands, this neighbourhood is shaped by its connection to the surrounding countryside, with expansive views stretching across neighbouring farms and toward the Ottawa River. Here, open landscapes, rural character, and everyday living come together to create a setting that feels both connected and timeless—rooted in the land, yet designed for the way people live today.
Over time, the Village Core will become one of Stewart Village’s primary gathering places. Designed to offer an authentic village atmosphere, it will feature a public square and a range of everyday amenities, including cafés, restaurants and local shops. The Village Core will also connect directly to Stewart Village’s trail network, creating a seamless link between the heart of the community and the surrounding natural landscape. At its core, the vision is to create a place where residents can connect with their community while remaining closely connected to nature.
The marina is a well-known gathering place in Rockland. Throughout the year, it hosts a variety of activities and events organized by the City, making it an important destination for residents and visitors alike. More than a waterfront amenity, the marina plays an important role in connecting the community with the Ottawa River and the natural setting that surrounds it.
The Forest District will mark the third phase of Stewart Village, offering a new expression of the community’s natural character. Each district will be shaped by the landscapes, natural features and unique assets that define its surroundings. For the Forest District, its identity will be rooted in its direct connection to the forest and the Stewart Village quarry. This close relationship with nature will provide convenient access to trails, wooded landscapes and a more rugged, natural setting. Here, the forest becomes an integral part of everyday life, creating a place that invites residents to explore, slow down and fully enjoy the natural landscapes that surround the village.
The Hilltop District marks the beginning of Stewart Village, a collection of homes set high above the community, where elevated living comes with an extraordinary sense of place. Perched at one of the village’s highest points, the district offers sweeping views across Rockland and the Ottawa River, creating a setting where every day feels a little more open, connected and inspiring. Shaped by its natural elevation and defined by its views, Hilltop is a place designed to rise above the ordinary.
At Stewart Village, nature is part of everyday life. An interconnected network of neighbourhood parks, pedestrian and cycling trails, and dedicated dog-friendly spaces brings the community together while creating endless opportunities to get outside. Thoughtfully connected from one district to the next, these spaces make it easy to walk, ride, explore, unwind and connect — all without leaving the community. Here, the outdoors isn’t somewhere you have to go. It’s part of where you live.
